It's a new day today and I certainly hope you all didn't have to wake up to what I had to wake up to: SNOW. Yuck. It's cold...and it's not even mid-October yet...I have a feeling it's going to be one long and snow-filled winter.

But hey- let's warm up today with a sunny, joyful layout I created for Manor House Creations! Sounds good to me~! :D

"Joy"

My oldest, Wyatt absolutely LOVES going to the lake in the summer. He is definitely a fish~! And much of our summer was spent at the lake by our house; swimming, fishing, catching cray fish- and a little sunburn at times. I'm SO glad that my kids get to grow up right next to the same lake that I did and have so many memories from. I have no doubt that they will be just like my sister and I were- at the lake, several times a day, just playing for hours. I think that's awesome :D.

I've put together a nice mix of beautiful Manor House flowers for you here. I've really loved playing with combining not one, but two large flowers together in my main cluster. I think sometimes people are afraid of those larger flowers- but they really are quite easy to use!

I took some time on this one and did a little mixed media work. First I took a mask and spritzed it with some glimmer mist. While the mask was still wet, I flipped it over and stamped with it. After it was dry, I used the same mask with some texture paste topped with some embossing powder to create the flourishes below:

Here's a look at the other side, all same techniques applied:

such a pretty layout, really makes me think of summer! Wyatt looks blissfully happy in these pics. I also grew up with a family lake house that we would all go to on the weekends, and there's nothing better for making good memories :)
