"Oh, Brother": NEW Prima CHA Winter 2014: Everyday Vintage

GOOD MORNING :)!

It's been a while, I know. And it's not for lack of things to share- I have some projects backed up that I haven't had the opportunity to get on here. But I have been suffering with strep throat for well over a week and it's been pretty debilitating.

Good news is- I'm on the mend :) So I'm back today with another Prima share, this time featuring the NEW Everyday Vintage Paintables :)

"Oh, Brother"
I've used the Paintables cards to add layers beneath my photo, some of them I've fussy cut the pretty intricate designs out of, and others I've torn and layered along the top left and bottom right of my layout.

I've added in some other new CHA goodies here as well: the paper and chipboard pieces are Stationer's Desk, and the canvas/burlap and gold rimmed flowers are new releases :)

I'm a sucker for anything black and white, so these paintables are right up my alley! I'm always looking for ways to add layers and interest to my projects, and these come in great sizes and patterns!

NEW Webster's Pages "Growing Up Girl" {Winter CHA 2014}

Good morning, my friends :)

Today I'm sharing with you a layout that I created for Webster's Pages, using their NEW "Growing Up Girl" collection, designed by the amazingly sweet Brandin O'Neill.

The day I received these papers was the same day we had a tragic incident at home where I lost all of my precious chickens. I needed to create a project for CHA and it was so difficult to do anything creative when I was so stricken. But let me tell you, working with this incredibly sweet collection was truly therapeutic. I took my time, fussy cutting away and thinking my thoughts, not really sure where I was going with it or if it would even turn out at all. But slowly, the scene came into place and I was able to create a layout of my very own little growing up girl :)

"Growing Up Girl" Layout
I am in love with the colors and motifs in this collection. So many fussy cutting opportunities, which is what I've always loved about Brandin's collections. She is a design diva, that's for sure! :)

I was able to layer and combine so many little details. I love a collection that gives you options :)

 I had to add a touch of the gold thread I've been so obsessed with lately...

 I loved combining the fabulous wardrobe motif with this photo of my daughter pulling some new clothes out of a gift bag. I might not be a girly girl, but she most certainly is- so this was fitting for her!

Webster's Pages: Postcards from Paris II {Wedding Inspired!}

Good morning and welcome to a brand new week!

I'm here with you today to share a little altered box that I created for Webster's Pages using their popular Postcards from Paris II collection. It's a beautiful, romantic range and what event is more inspired by love than a wedding?! So today on the Webster's Pages blog, it's all about weddings :) Here's a look at what I created:

"Love" Altered Box
The inspiration for this gift box came from the "Let Them Eat Cake" paper- simply perfect for a wedding :)
I started with the bottom half of the box and worked from there. The cake-topper birds would be my main feature and the rest of the supporting embellishments came along as I worked at it.

 I just LOVE working with these vibrant colors and exquisite patterns!

I wanted to create something very dimensional and layered at the same time, accomplished by fussy cutting, foam adhesive, and paper L-shaped "stands" to help support the upright images. I also used a Blue Fern Studios chipboard piece as my backdrop and supporting element.

Products Used:

Papers:
Postcards from Paris II "Let Them Eat Cake"
Postcards from Paris II "Tres Belle"

Embellishments:
Postcards from Paris II: Green Fleur (resin)
Postcards from Paris II: Collection Pack (file folders)

Trims:
Postcards from Paris II: Mini Trim Pack

Other Products Used:

Doodle Circle Frame

I'm so glad you came over today! It will be a busy week on my blog- I will be back over the next couple of days with brand NEW projects like this one- thanks for your endless support and I will see you tomorrow! :)

This photo is of my niece Lilah on her 3rd birthday. I just adore her and her personality :)

Webster's Pages: Postcards from Paris II~! {Card}

Good morning :). How are you doing this early in the week? It's been a long weekend for me- got my baby chickens and it's been tough- I believe since they shipped so late in the day Wednesday, they did not arrive until Saturday which really affected them. To keep the story short, I will be speaking with the company as soon as they open today...it's not been good :(

Other than that, the raspberries around here are ready so I went picking and made Blueberry/Raspberry Jam and Raspberry Jam and then a couple more blueberry pies last night. Still have so many berries to deal with yet- but that's a good problem to have! Only concern I have is needing yet another chest freezer once hunting season arrives as the berries have definitely taken over!

Anyways, I must remember- this is a scrappy blog, right? ;)

I have a card to share with you today that I created for Webster's Pages, featuring the new Postcards from Paris II collection, focusing on the embellishments!~

"This Way" Card

This line has brought back to life the chipboard button/twine pack! Here's a look at the full card:

And as always, we've got some great sentiment stickers- just perfect for cardmaking!

Lots of fussy cutting allows for plenty of layering- both paper elements and embellishments!

"Beautiful"~ NEW Webster's Pages Postcards from Paris II~!

Good morning! Another scheduled post coming you way :) But it's a good one- I'm so excited because I FINALLY get to share with you one of my CHA projects for Webster's Pages!! I've used the gorgeous Postcards from Paris II collection which you've quite likely seen already- it really is stunning. But if not, then you're in for a real treat! The beautiful and talented Brandin O'Neill has really knocked it out of the park with this one!

"Beautiful"
This range is a fussy cutter's DREAM. I knew the moment that I saw the elegant chair that my little girly was going to have a seat on it- no doubt about it ;). And I just happened to have the sweetest photo for it too!

Just LOOK at this collection...

And what would we do without a pile of coordinating embellishments to keep us busy??

Here's a little bit of a closer look at what I created today:

Are you in love yet?? I know I am! :) :) :)

July Prima BAP (my FIRST Prima post~!!)

To say this is my "first" Prima post is almost laughable- because if you know my work, then you know that most of my posts are Prima, ha! But today is my very first "official" Prima post as I've created a sample for you for the July BAP!

I've enjoyed the BAP challenges for so long now, and if you haven't done them yet- you need to. The sketches are always inspiring and you have not only a chance to be a winner on the Prima blog, but also one of the features there! So how about you play along this month? You can link up your project HERE (yes, LINK- no more emailing! So easy!).

Here is what I've created for a little inspiration today:
