Two Projects for Blue Fern Studios

Good morning! I hope that your Christmas went well and that you're getting ready to welcome in a new year :). I'm stopping in today to share some classy Christmas cheer with you all, as well as a sweet and simple project too~ both for Blue Fern Studios!

"Let it Snow"
Blue Fern Studios has released some beautiful holiday themed chipboard pieces over the past month or so, as well as some wintry ones as well- simply perfect for this time of year! The "Let it Snow" set includes the title piece and snowflake you see here, as well as a tree and some additional snowflakes. A must-have!

For the frame I first primed with gesso before applying embossing ink. I then sprinkled on some sparkly white and gold embossing powders as well as some glitter and then setting with a heat gun. The snowflake was treated with white embossing powder and set. Finally, the title piece was stamped with chalk ink and sealed with some glossy accents.

Other Products Used:

Prima Marketing flowers and bling

Next I have a sweet and simple card for you!

"A Very Good Life"
I love the "Winter Page Dangles", and I have been envisioning creating a tall, narrow card with one for a while now. I wanted to make sure the chipboard piece was the focus, so I kept the rest of my card fairly simple.

I used a white chalk ink before adding embossing ink and glittery white embossing powder to my chipboard. It turned out sparkly and feminine which was perfect for my girly card!

"Holly Jolly" Tag
A handmade gift tag for the holidays demands something with a little "extra" to it. I wanted to create something elegant, beautiful, and full of BLING!

I layered different SIIP flourishes amid the lower layers of my tag, while adding bits of sparkle to my flower clusters, my centerpiece, and the bow treatment at the top.

More From Manor House~!

Hey there my friends :)~ so glad you stopped in because I've got a couple more Manor House Creations projects to share with you! Let's get started straight away...

"Adore Her"

It seems my daughter has been in the spotlight a bit lately here on my blog! But that's okay~ she's been pretty sick this past week so she deserves it :). I've used a combination of flowers from the amazing Spring Collection from Manor House.

I've just fallen in love with the Powder Puffs in this collection! Here I've used the cream/spotted Powder Puff "Lychee" flowers which I completely adore :)~!

There's plenty of glitter to be found in the Spring Collection as well! Who doesn't love some sparkle?

C'est Magnifique December Sketch Challenge~!

Good evening dear friends!! Unbelievably, it's the first day of December!! We finally (yes, finally!) got our Christmas tree today. My husband Josh and I piled all the kids in the old truck and did a bit of walking through deep snow with a bit of complaining from the kids in search of that perfect tree. My problem was last year we had a ridiculously huge tree that was over 12 feet tall and 9 feet wide and FULL. And so when you have a tree as perfect as that one was in my eyes, nothing else seems to be able to stack up. But we did eventually find one pretty similar in size but a bit more manageable and as of tonight, it's all covered in lights and fully decorated. That first night with the tree is always one where I just sit and stare at its beauty. Something about it truly makes me feel like a kid again :).

But we have ALL month long to talk about Christmas, so let's get to the matter at hand, eh? The December sketch has been revealed over at C'est Magnifique Kits and I'm here to share it with you!

And my take:

"December"
What's not to love in the month of December? It is one of the most warm, festive, and exciting times of the year! It usually means lots of family, food, music, and plenty of Christmas beauty all around! And this kit definitely provides plenty of opportunity for scrapping those special holiday photos- so I went very traditional here using the classic red and green Christmas colors, paired with Michele's fabulous sketch!

Prima: Poppies & Peonies: Red/Cream
Prima: Soprano: White

This challenge is open to everyone.  You do not need to be a member of C'est Magnifique Kits to participate in the sketch challenge and you may use any supplies you wish.
Since we are a kit club, there is an added incentive to use one of our kits to create your sketch layout, which I will explain below.

We will be offering 2 prizes for our sketch challenge.  One winner, randomly selected from all entries will receive a large prize package.   The winner will also be able to
purchase anything from our Store and have it shipped free with their prize package - anywhere in the world!

Here's a look at the December prize package:

Our second prize will be a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Store that will be randomly awarded to someone who obviously uses one of our kits to create their layout.  This is our way of saying "thank you" to our members.

We will also be "featuring" 5 layouts from all of the submissions for this sketch.

What do you have to do to enter our sketch challenge?

1.  You must become a follower of our blog.  If you're already a follower, we thank you!
It's easy to become follower -see the left sidebar at the C'est Magnifique blog HERE.

2.  Create a layout using the sketch, and add it to our blog using the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of the post HERE.  Please link to the blog post where you have uploaded your layout

Deadline for entering the sketch challenge is midnight, December 31 (US time).
Have fun!  We can't wait to see how you use our December sketch.

 Have a great night all!!

Christmas Card Time~!! (with Webster's Pages)

**For my November giveaway, please go HERE**

Ah, we've reached the halfway point in the week now~ always such a relief! Although I must say these days have just been flying by~!! Many of you have your eyes set on Christmas and have been busy shopping I'm sure...me? I haven't started my shopping, but decorating began last night! Always love looking at lights again for the first time of the season :).

I've also been busy making Christmas cards~! And today I have another set to share with you that I created for Webster's Pages, using yet again their endlessly beautiful "Royal Christmas" collection.

"Royal Christmas" Card Set

When creating a card set, I like them to all have a uniform look, while being their own individual pieces. So for this set I chose a basic 6"x6" size, along with some of the beautiful Webster's Pages embellishments, stickers, and trim, and went to work.

You can't get much more "royal" than purple and gold! This was the first card I created of the set, and I just knew I had to try out the bold purple found in this collection. The gorgeous design found in the "Delights" paper worked perfectly for my background, and drew in both the gold and purple colors I was wanting to combine.

I also just love the Webster's Pages cameos, including this "Blue Bell" piece! And sentiments are made easy by using the "Word Block Stickers", also available in this collection.

Card #2 ended up being my favorite :). I just love the classic gold and red combo! Some fussy cutting for some borders, paired with the "Lace Gold" trim to the left added some texture and interest to accompany the "highlight" of my card, which of course is my sentiment and StoryMarker.

The "Royal Christmas" StoryMarkers are breathtaking, aren't they?? I just love the elegant detail they add!

My final piece incorporated the subtle pink found in the collection, again with gold. I loved this "Pink Candy" Cameo and knew I just had to use it. So I paired it with the delicious treat motif from the "Greeting Cards" paper.

**I cut this piece into three different parts so they could each have a place on my cards!**

Have a great day~!! :) I'm hoping to make it around blog land today and check out what everyone else has been doing, so watch out, lol!! ;) Take care,
