C'est Magnifique: August Kit {Full} Reveal!

It's time to reveal the full kit for August at C'est Magnifique Kits! We've already shared the papers and add-ons, and today we get to see the main kit, which I just know you will love :)

But first, how about another sample? I really enjoyed creating with this kit, and especially loved the contrast between the reddish pinks and blues...gorgeous :)

"Sweet Angel"
The inspiration for this layout actually came from the beautiful Prima Ingvild Bolme resin angel wings. And what better character than my daughter Aspen to bring one of those precious pieces to life? She truly is my sweet little angel :)

As always, I've taken advantage of the flowers from both the kit and the add-on. I love creating big, fully flower clusters- and there's more than enough to go around with this kit!

C'est Magnifique August Kit
"A Day at the Park"
For those of you who love what I do with microbeads- here's your chance to get a full jar of them! Gotta love those beads ;)!!

At the time of this post, there were still some kits and add-ons available in the August section of the store HERE. But they seriously do not last long- so if you want to secure one of these kits for yourself, please don't hesitate!

Thank-you for coming on over today.

See you tomorrow :)

Another Peek at the August Kit from C'est Magnifique!

Hello everyone!
I'm BACK from CHA...and just had the greatest time! Met a ton of cool people, ate a LOT, gambled (and LOST!), had some drinks, saw a lot of things, and complained about the heat- although I regret that now because it is COLD at home :(. It was really a great experience and I'm so thankful to have been able to do it! Sorry- can't share any photos until tomorrow as we brought my sister's camera with and she hasn't had the time yet to email them to me...but I promise, I will be sharing them SOON :).

I'm here with you today to show you a sample that I created from the beautiful August Kit from C'est Magnifique Kits, which will be revealed in full in just a couple more days. We're featuring beautiful Maja Design papers this time around, and you've already seen my masculine layout earlier this month- so here's a layout that I created using the more feminine side of this kit:

"Happy Girl"
My niece Lilah is just BURSTING with sweetness- and I wanted my flower cluster to really reflect that. I took advantage of all of the colors in this kit and they really come together quite nicely!

One of the Pion Design papers has several of these beautiful border strips- perfect for creating a simple linear design to your project.

So many amazing flowers join together to create and offer different textures and sizes to your cluster work. If you're like me and you love your flowers, it's a necessity to have the variety of sizes included in this month's kit and flower add-on!

From My Stash:
-mask, modeling paste, embossing powder, book page

If you'd like to learn more about C'est Magnifique and what they have to offer, see the Join/FAQs page HERE! We'd LOVE to see you there :)! Even if you're not a kit subscriber, we're always happy to see new faces in the forum- it's where I hang out, so if you'd like to chat, why don't you come on over and say hi?? If you love scrapping and hate drama...it's the place to be ;)!

Thank-you for coming over today. As previously warned, I have lots of projects to share in the coming days...new projects EVERY day...so don't stay away too long, okay ;)??

Take care and see you again tomorrow...

It's Time for a Sneak: C'est Magnifique August Kit!

Good morning! I trust you all had a good weekend and that your week is off to a great start!

My sister and her girls just left yesterday afternoon after a wonderful few days together :). A bit disappointed that it rained the whole time and we didn't get to go swimming at the lake (which we ALL look forward to so much!)~ but it was still so awesome to have them here.

Now, it's back to business~! I always feel a little bit out of the loop after taking a few days off from my scrappy life, but just bear with me ;).

I have a sneak for you of the August Kit from C'est Magnifique. Today I will be showing a layout using the kit, as well as the paper and add-ons.

Hi! I'm back with another look at our April Kit, Victorian Roses, from C'est Magnifique~! You've already seen the altered box from yesterday, so how about a layout?

"3 Bugs"
There is something that just truly warms my heart when I see all three of my kids together like here, snuggled up in my bed watching a movie one morning. It is a rare moment that they can all be like this- no fighting or jumping around- I had to capture it! And I really tried to tie in all of the colors offered in this kit, to create a bit of a timeless feel.

First Look @ the April Kit from C'est Magnifique

Hi! It's Friday today in my part of the world, and we've also reached the midway point of the month. Seriously, can you believe that March is already half over? When did that happen?! Oh, my- time truly does fly. And it's yet again time for a look at the next amazing kit from C'est Magnifique Kits, this time featuring papers from Pion Design out of Sweden! But before I show you the papers and add-ons for this kit, here is a look at one of my five projects created this month:

"Niece"
I've said it a hundred times, but my niece Lilah is just so gorgeous! I love her! This photo was stolen from my sister's Facebook wall- the conveniences of social media ;). I definitely focused on the purple in the kit for this one and I tried to create something as soft and feminine as she is. Though it's hard to see, I've cut out the inner most circle from the Blue Fern Studios clock piece and tucked it in to the right-hand side of my photo, after applying some purple mist, embossing powder, and microbeads.

 From the Flower Add-On:
Green Tara: Damask: Cream
Petaloo: Darjeeling: Dahlias: Teastained Blues
Prima: Lifetime Flower Stem: Brown
Prima: Sugar Plum Roses: Eggplant

C'est Magnifique December Sketch Challenge~!

Good evening dear friends!! Unbelievably, it's the first day of December!! We finally (yes, finally!) got our Christmas tree today. My husband Josh and I piled all the kids in the old truck and did a bit of walking through deep snow with a bit of complaining from the kids in search of that perfect tree. My problem was last year we had a ridiculously huge tree that was over 12 feet tall and 9 feet wide and FULL. And so when you have a tree as perfect as that one was in my eyes, nothing else seems to be able to stack up. But we did eventually find one pretty similar in size but a bit more manageable and as of tonight, it's all covered in lights and fully decorated. That first night with the tree is always one where I just sit and stare at its beauty. Something about it truly makes me feel like a kid again :).

But we have ALL month long to talk about Christmas, so let's get to the matter at hand, eh? The December sketch has been revealed over at C'est Magnifique Kits and I'm here to share it with you!

And my take:

"December"
What's not to love in the month of December? It is one of the most warm, festive, and exciting times of the year! It usually means lots of family, food, music, and plenty of Christmas beauty all around! And this kit definitely provides plenty of opportunity for scrapping those special holiday photos- so I went very traditional here using the classic red and green Christmas colors, paired with Michele's fabulous sketch!

This challenge is open to everyone.  You do not need to be a member of C'est Magnifique Kits to participate in the sketch challenge and you may use any supplies you wish.
Since we are a kit club, there is an added incentive to use one of our kits to create your sketch layout, which I will explain below.

We will be offering 2 prizes for our sketch challenge.  One winner, randomly selected from all entries will receive a large prize package.   The winner will also be able to
purchase anything from our Store and have it shipped free with their prize package - anywhere in the world!

Here's a look at the December prize package:

Our second prize will be a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Store that will be randomly awarded to someone who obviously uses one of our kits to create their layout.  This is our way of saying "thank you" to our members.

We will also be "featuring" 5 layouts from all of the submissions for this sketch.

What do you have to do to enter our sketch challenge?

1.  You must become a follower of our blog.  If you're already a follower, we thank you!

C'est Magnifique December Kit Reveal~!

**For my November giveaway, please go HERE**

Hey there! It's that time again- to reveal the next kit from C'est Magnifique! For the month of December, we're featuring the "Silent Night" Collection from Pion Design (Sweden). What's great about this kit is that it can go either holiday-themed, winter inspired, or every day- which I hope to show you in this post :).

"Blissful Snow"
If there's anything my kids love, it's playing in the snow! And good thing too, because we get a LOT of it where I live! I absolutely love the "wintery" options in this kit. I used a mask and some modeling paste, along with some glitter to add to the icy feel of this layout.

From the Flower Add-On:

From the Embellishment Add-On:
American Crafts: DIY Thickers

"Angel"
My sister's daughter, Lilah, is one of my most favorite people :). Probably because she reminds me a lot of myself- a fiery, temperamental redhead who is also sweet and fun, full of sarcasm and loves to be the center of attention! My sister actually captured this amazing photo of her and I knew instantly I wanted to scrap it! The pretty pinks in this kit, as well as the angel elements all just came together in this very fitting layout.

**For my October giveaway, please go HERE**

Hi everyone! I hope you have all had a great weekend and are refreshed and ready for a new week...... because I know I am NOT refreshed, lol~ so hopefully someone out there IS! ;)~ Been a busy weekend here, lots of cleaning and organizing most likely due to the unexpected snow we got Saturday morning. Thankfully, it melted mid-day, but it made me realize how unprepared we are for winter~ and we best get a move on before that snow comes to stay!

But anyways, I'm here today to share with you a layout I created for Manor House Creations, featuring the color "green" (my FAVE color, by the way). I've used a combo of flowers from their winter collection AND from their brand new spring collection...(you can see my project and those from some other fab designers at the MHC blog HERE)...

"So Gorgeous"
I really enjoyed putting together this color combo. Paired with some beautiful Pion Design papers and these gorgeous "summer's end" photos of my daughter, I ended up with a fresh and outdoorsy feel to my project :).

Scrap FX Reveal #3

Hi again :). It's Sunday morning here and it's been an interesting weekend. I went raspberry picking a few times on Saturday- stepped on a bee's nest and a red ant nest (miraculously no stings or bites!) and an animal was crashing through the woods that scared me off- BUT- I did manage to come away with enough berries for my first batch of raspberry jam for the year! It was definitely worth it! I'm hoping to get back out this afternoon- checked out another one of my spots with the four wheeler yesterday and it looks ready to go- so I'd like to make a raid! :)

But anyways, I'm back again today to share with you my final project this month for Scrap FX. I've really enjoyed working with their stencils this month, in addition to their amazing chipboard selection. Here's a look at what I put together using both products:

"Pretty as a Picture"
My baby girl Aspen really is a doll!! :) Let's take a little walk-through of my layout...

Absolutely loved this beautiful title piece, “Pretty as a Picture“. I’ve painted it with gesso, dabbed with some rose-colored ink, and then topped off with some white Stickles for a feminine glittery touch :) . Beneath my title and behind the small cluster, I’ve used the “Flower Pattern Stencil, small” along with some texture paste, which I cut out and placed behind my arrangement.

This lovely piece is from the “Lamp Shades” pack. I’ve painted it with gesso before topping it off with 3 different inks: rose bud, old rose, and shabby tote, and then finally finished with some Stickles. Add some bling and a couple flowers, and you’ve got one pretty embellishment!

I’ve used the same stencil in the lower corners and along the top of my layout.

Gotta love frames! These two actually came as a secondary frame in the packs of more “fancy” frames such as the “Decorative Frame C Classic“. These have been painted with a coat of gesso before using a couple different stamps to create the pretty designs you see here. Blings and pearls are all the more I needed :) .

Just a closer look at my large flower cluster. Isn't that main bloom beautiful? I won it in a RAK from my Scrappin' Patch teammie Annelie Maddock :).

Another view of the cluster...

A peek at the layers...(I do love layering!!)...
