Manor House Creations: "Winter Song" Inspiration

**For my October giveaway, please go HERE**

Hi everyone!! We've just begun a new month- and it gets said EVERY month, but- WHERE does the time go?! We're in full-swing fall here and it won't be long before the leaves are gone and winter takes over...that means for some of you lucky ducks that summer is headed your way. I'm jealous! However, I'm already anxious to start decorating for Christmas :D~!! Another month to go and I can pull all the fun stuff out and start getting into the holidays :)~

And speaking of winter, I have some inspiration for you today featuring some gorgeous blooms from the Manor House Creations "Winter Song" collection. I was very excited to begin this project as I really, REALLY love these particular flowers. You've seen them on a few different layouts of mine in the past and I know I've bragged them up before- but seriously, the texture and size of these flowers are truly amazing. And because I love them so much, I went right on ahead and used not one but TWO of these incredible pieces as the focal points of my layout:

"My Angel"
I’ve combined both the Winter Song “Snowbell” and “Log Cabin” flowers to make up the majority of my main cluster. If you’re looking for “fullness” on a layout, this is most definitely the way to go!

I’ve added just a touch of gesso to the “Log Cabin” flower, to help it meld with the rest of my layout. I was really going for a “white washed” look here, and by applying gesso throughout the elements on my project, I was able to create a softy, dreamy effect to compliment my photos.

These “Imagine” flowers layer so nicely! Perfect for tucking under photos or under each other. Here you can also see that I've used the center of the "Country Lane- Raindrop" flower as part of my cluster.

Do you ever find yourself almost afraid of scrapping those photos you love the most? I know I do! I'm always afraid I might not do it justice. I knew when I took these precious photos of my little Gunner sound asleep that I would have a hard time scrapping them as I wanted whatever I did to be JUST RIGHT for the photos. I'm really happy, however, that I used them here as I believe I accomplished what I'd hoped to with this one :).

(the flourish under my title is from Scrap FX)

(this gorgeous clock piece is also from Scrap FX)
