"Beautiful"~ NEW Webster's Pages Postcards from Paris II~!

Good morning! Another scheduled post coming you way :) But it's a good one- I'm so excited because I FINALLY get to share with you one of my CHA projects for Webster's Pages!! I've used the gorgeous Postcards from Paris II collection which you've quite likely seen already- it really is stunning. But if not, then you're in for a real treat! The beautiful and talented Brandin O'Neill has really knocked it out of the park with this one!

"Beautiful"
This range is a fussy cutter's DREAM. I knew the moment that I saw the elegant chair that my little girly was going to have a seat on it- no doubt about it ;). And I just happened to have the sweetest photo for it too!

Just LOOK at this collection...

And what would we do without a pile of coordinating embellishments to keep us busy??

Here's a little bit of a closer look at what I created today:

Are you in love yet?? I know I am! :) :) :)
You can browse all of the new collections HERE

I hope you have a great weekend and can't wait to see you when I get back :)!
Take care,

Mixed Media Wednesday @ Prima!

Hey everyone! LONG time, no blog right? I seriously have SO many projects to share that I've worked on over the past month, but as it usually goes, they will all come in a whirlwind at once...isn't that how it works?

Oh, well!

Today's post was scheduled last Sunday as I'm in Vegas at CHA with my sister Kelly Foster...as we speak! So exciting! Can't wait to share stories and photos when I get back :). But for now, I will just leave you with a project of mine that I created for Prima for CHA, featuring Finn's new "Elementals" and "Mechanicals"! It is being featured over at the Prima blog today, along with other mixed media samples provided by some of the other Prima team members- so make sure you go and have a look!

"Prima Canvas Trio"
I loved this set of canvases that I recently bought. I knew it would be perfect for creating something for each of my kids- and what better way to put them to use than with Finn's mixed media-driven products?

Products Used:

The great thing about creating a coordinating "set" of something is after you get the first one down, the next ones come so easily- they follow a similar pattern with similar products used.

After covering my canvas with gesso, I tore up some book pages and (using the gesso as an adhesive) randomly applied the pieces to my canvas. On top of that I layered torn tissue paper and again used gesso on both top and bottom to adhere. Next, I added one of the *NEW* Elementals Canvas Borders and a bit of cardboard before misting and masking.

I've also used a combination of the *NEW* Mechanicals "Numbers", "Pendant", & "Gear" sets to create a contrast to the soft florals in my clusters.

SO many things to love about these amazing new pieces!! There's nothing quite like amazing new product to get that mojo going, right?! ;) I hope you can get your hands on some real soon...

Thanks for letting me share with you today :). I will be seeing you when I get back from CHA~
until then, take good care of yourselves~!!

It's Time for a Sneak: C'est Magnifique August Kit!

Good morning! I trust you all had a good weekend and that your week is off to a great start!

My sister and her girls just left yesterday afternoon after a wonderful few days together :). A bit disappointed that it rained the whole time and we didn't get to go swimming at the lake (which we ALL look forward to so much!)~ but it was still so awesome to have them here.

Now, it's back to business~! I always feel a little bit out of the loop after taking a few days off from my scrappy life, but just bear with me ;).

Accordion Album Tutorial for PaperHaus!

Hello :). I hope you've all had a great weekend! We were busy all day Saturday with Gunner's 3rd birthday party and I'm pretty tired- but it was lots of fun, pretty stress-free, but always leaving me a tiny bit sad that the day is over and that my little guy is growing up. Okay, so more than a "tiny bit sad"...it's a feeling I stuff away so it doesn't affect the day- but after the kids are in bed and I'm alone with my thoughts, the realization of how quickly the past three years has gone simply terrifies me.

But before I get any heavier here, let's move on to a project that I created for another amazing 3-year old; Gunner's cousin Lilah who was born exactly 4 weeks before him :). I made an accordion album for the PaperHaus magazine blog, and I've got some step-by-steps on how you can put one together too!

So let's begin :)

"Lilah Accordion Album"

I had a long piece of cardboard that I'd been hanging on to for just this sort of project.

**The dimensions of my album are: 21.5" long and 4.75" tall**

Here are some detailed closeups too!

Prima "Allstar" Collection Sneak~!

Good morning, everyone! It's Friday in my world and I've got a busy day ahead- my little guy Gunner turns 3 tomorrow so I've got shopping to get done and other preparations...stayed up waaaay too late last night putting together my grocery list from Pinterest, lol.

So I'm already beat and I've only just begun my day, ugh!

But- I have a tag to share today that I created using the new Summer CHA release from Prima:
 the "Allstar" Collection.

"#1 Fan" Tag
I do my best to make any collection "me"- even if it's a masculine, sporty-themed collection. Since most often even my most "masculine" of projects are far more feminine than they perhaps should be, I still like to remain true to myself- which I aimed to do on this tag. As you can see, Allstar is not JUST for the boys!

Products Used:
846251- Allstar Collection "Depth Chart"
569655- Allstar Collection 4"x6" Cling Mounted Stamp Set
570460- Allstar Collection Sugar Dots
569662- Allstar Collection Tag Me Tickets and Tags Set
569747- Allstar Collection Wood Icons
569754- Allstar Collection 1" Flair Buttons
571610- Audrey
571108- La Cela
571016- Valentina

I love anything vintage- so this collection is already a must-have in my book! If you love sports or have men in your life who do- there are plenty of images to get {their} scrapping done! If NOT- there are alternate sides to the papers perfect for your more "neutral" project; like what I created :)

Thank-you so much for checking out my blog post today. I will be back on Sunday- so see you then :)!

PaperHaus: Mini Album~!

Hello, my awesome friends! I've been so busy creating "behind the scenes" that I feel my blog has been a little bit negelcted by way of projects- I apologize for that :). Just a busy time!

But today I have a mini album to share with you that I created for the PaperHaus Magazine Blog. I hope you enjoy it!

"Mother-in-Law Mini Album"
**Chipboard frame from Blue Fern Studios and paper/flowers/embellishments from Prima Marketing**

I call this my "Mother-in-Law Mini Album" because, well- I created it for my MIL, ha! This is actually the first gift that I have hand crafted for her and being someone who truly cherishes her family and especially her children/grandchildren- I just know she'll love it :). After a recent visit, I discovered that many of the photos displayed in her home were taken by phone- from my Facebook page. Seriously sad. And I needed to remedy that! So I took some of the photos taken at our vacation there and put them together in this album.

Here's a look at what's inside:
On one of the last days there, we got all of the kids together for pictures. We did photos of just my kids, of just the boys, just the girls, and all of them. So I tried to include one of each in this album for her.

With the help of the Prima "Lyric" paper collection, Prima flowers & embellishments, as well as chipboard from Blue Fern Studios, I created a cohesive flow to my album. What I love about minis is once you get a "pace" going in the book, it's really easy to move from one page to the next.

With each page, I started by doing a little bit of stamping. Then I misted, masked with modeling paste, and added some watercolor paints.

I wanted each page to be different, yet follow the same guidelines: stamping, masking, misting, watercolors, and then photo/flowers/chipboard.

I also make sure that any page that would be facing eachother when closed did not have clusters that would meet. That way, it reduces the bulk when the book is closed.

Products Used:

Patterned Papers: Prima Marketing
Flowers: Prima Marketing
Chipboard: Blue Fern Studios
Embellishments: Prima Marketing (trinkets & wood button), Pink Paislee (stars)
Stickers: Prima Marketing
Stamps: Prima Marketing, 7 Gypsies, & Bo Bunny
Masks: Prima Marketing, Heidi Swapp, & The Crafter's Workshop
Mists: Tattered Angels
Other: gesso, modeling paste, watercolor paints

I'm so happy you came by here today! I hope your week is off to a great start :)- see you again soon,
