"Cozy"~ Webster's Pages *NEW* Plum Seed Collection~!

Good morning :)! Last week I shared with you a card that I created for Webster's Pages using one of the new Adrienne Looman collections Citrus Squeeze. Today I'm here to show you a layout that I created with Adrienne's other collection Plum Seed, which is full of warm, inviting colors and patterns.

Even my little Gunner wanted to climb inside of this collection and cuddle up to it :)! Can you blame him??

As I studied this collection for the first time, I realized that there were lots of opportunities for fussy cutting which you quite likely know I LOVE. 

Take a look here at the layers I put together with just a few of the Plum Seed papers:

I love to discover "embellishments" in the patterns on paper. So many different ways of using them!

I was also happy to discover that- as always- this collection could be mixed and matched with other collections! Just look here- the frame from the Perfect Accents Frame Variety Pack, the butterfly cameo from the New Beginnings Perfect Accents Pack, a sentiment sticker from Best Friends, and a Quick Picks bow & stick pin. 

The banner pieces were punched from one of the Plum Seed Mini Folders :)

 This is a gift that I created for one of my life-long best friends Carrie and her sweet daughter Alma (who is my goddaughter). I took this photo of them on Alma's baptism day and have been wanting to do something ever since. To have the responsibility as a godmother is something I take with such honor and I hope to always be there for this little girl- in many ways, but most importantly spiritually :).

"Summer" Card~ Webster's Pages *NEW* Citrus Squeeze!

Oh, my- can you believe that almost a week has gone by in June? I thought it just started! Terrifying how quickly the time goes...

...but it's Thursday in my part of the world and I thought I would stop in super quick with a card that I created using the *NEW* Citrus Squeeze collection created by Adrienne Looman for Webster's Pages~!

This past weekend, Webster's Pages teamed up with the Simon Says Stamp! blog for a giveaway to celebrate the release of Citrus Squeeze and Plum Seed (another fabulous Adrienne Looman collection).

Blue Fern Studios: June Sketch Challenge~!

Hello my scrappy friends! Today I'm sharing with you the latest sketch challenge for Blue Fern Studios!

As always, Michele Singh- the incredibly talented artist behind the Blue Fern Studios chipboard designs- has created a beautiful sketch to get your creativity pushed into full gear! Just take a look at what she has for you this month:

And we're inviting anyone and everyone to play along! We keep the rules really quite simple:

1.) Use the sketch to inspire your project (layout, card, altered, or whatever you please)!

2.) At least one piece of Blue Fern Studios chipboard must be used- but they do not need to be the pieces featured in the sketch! Please do not use any other brand of chipboard in your entry :)

Guest Designer for Ingvild Bolme!

I'm SO incredibly honored to be a guest designer at Ingvild Bolme's blog this month! A little secret I've had to hold for a while ;) but it's been worth it. I've long been a fan of Ingvild for her incredible artistic talent both in papercrafting as well as her amazing products. I've had the privilege of communicating with her a bit through this process, and so I'm also honored to know her as a person- and she is just the sweetest thing! Just a truly genuine, great person. Isn't it cool knowing that the products you love come from a really awesome individual? I think that's super neat :).

C'est Magnifique June Sketch Challenge~!

Hello and welcome! Today I'm happy to reveal to you the June Sketch Challenge from C'est Magnifique~! I've created a sample for the challenge again this month, using the June Kit "Dream in Pastel". The past couple of projects that I've shared have been a little bit on the girly side. So today I'm going to go masculine with a layout featuring my oldest, Wyatt :)

You can easily go feminine or masculine with this kit and I love that, being a mom to 2 boys and 1 girl. The hot air balloon from Blue Fern Studios was a perfect fit for this boy page created for my oldest son. Every day he seems to get older- smarter- constantly wanting to learn about everything. It's truly amazing watching his imagination soar!

 {to dress up my Blue Fern Studios "Grand Balloon" piece, I first painted it with gesso. Next, I used various stamps and some black archival ink to create the varying stamped patterns. I then misted randomly with some Tattered Angels "Blue Skies" and "Sun Sisters" glimmer mists before dusting on some clear embossing powder and blasting it with my heat gun.}

Here is this month's sketch:

C'est Magnifique will be offering two prizes, awarded randomly to participants in our Sketch Challenge.  The first prize is this beautiful assortment of paper, embellishments, and chipboard that Leslie has put together.  The winner of this prize package will also be able to shop in the C'est Magnifique Store, and have their purchases sent with the prize package, so that means you won't have to pay for shipping.

 

Our second prize, a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Store,  will be awarded randomly to one of our participants who obviously uses one of our kits to create their Sketch Challenge layout. 

We will also chose 5 (or maybe more) layouts to feature on our blog!  

You have the entire month of May to submit your layout.

PaperHaus June Sketch Challenge~!

Good morning, friends! 

I'm very excited because today I get to share my very first project for PaperHaus~! It's time to take a look at the sketch challenge for the month of June, through which you could win yourself the opportunity to be a guest designer in a future sketch challenge for PaperHaus. How cool is that?!

I had a wonderful time creating my sample for the June sketch...

"Model Looks"

My baby Gunner sure looks like his daddy- and he is incredibly handsome! I often joke about Gunner being model material (haha!), but how can I not when he is just so darn gorgeous?! (does that sound vain of me? well, who cares!) 

I captured this stunning photo of my little guy on Mother's Day. He's so good at the serious look, lol.

I liked the idea of layering my banners and decided to incorporate one of the "Page Chains" from Blue Fern Studios. Such a cool piece!

I've obviously used a ton of Prima on this one {as always} including papers from Divine, Lifetime, and Lyric, as well as a bunch of Winter 2013 CHA flowers {with the addition of an older but very loved Script Vine}, letter stickers, and a sweet trinket.
