C'est Magnifique December Sketch Challenge~!

Good evening dear friends!! Unbelievably, it's the first day of December!! We finally (yes, finally!) got our Christmas tree today. My husband Josh and I piled all the kids in the old truck and did a bit of walking through deep snow with a bit of complaining from the kids in search of that perfect tree. My problem was last year we had a ridiculously huge tree that was over 12 feet tall and 9 feet wide and FULL. And so when you have a tree as perfect as that one was in my eyes, nothing else seems to be able to stack up. But we did eventually find one pretty similar in size but a bit more manageable and as of tonight, it's all covered in lights and fully decorated. That first night with the tree is always one where I just sit and stare at its beauty. Something about it truly makes me feel like a kid again :).

But we have ALL month long to talk about Christmas, so let's get to the matter at hand, eh? The December sketch has been revealed over at C'est Magnifique Kits and I'm here to share it with you!

And my take:

"December"
What's not to love in the month of December? It is one of the most warm, festive, and exciting times of the year! It usually means lots of family, food, music, and plenty of Christmas beauty all around! And this kit definitely provides plenty of opportunity for scrapping those special holiday photos- so I went very traditional here using the classic red and green Christmas colors, paired with Michele's fabulous sketch!

Prima: Purity Bretton Vine
Prima: Poppies & Peonies: Red/Cream

From the Embellishment Add-On:

Now it's your turn to use this sketch as inspiration to create a layout for our challenge.
This challenge is open to everyone.  You do not need to be a member of C'est Magnifique Kits to participate in the sketch challenge and you may use any supplies you wish.
Since we are a kit club, there is an added incentive to use one of our kits to create your sketch layout, which I will explain below.

We will be offering 2 prizes for our sketch challenge.  One winner, randomly selected from all entries will receive a large prize package.   The winner will also be able to
purchase anything from our Store and have it shipped free with their prize package - anywhere in the world!

Here's a look at the December prize package:

Our second prize will be a $10 gift certificate to the C'est Magnifique Store that will be randomly awarded to someone who obviously uses one of our kits to create their layout.  This is our way of saying "thank you" to our members.

We will also be "featuring" 5 layouts from all of the submissions for this sketch.

What do you have to do to enter our sketch challenge?

1.  You must become a follower of our blog.  If you're already a follower, we thank you!
It's easy to become follower -see the left sidebar at the C'est Magnifique blog HERE.

2.  Create a layout using the sketch, and add it to our blog using the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of the post HERE.  Please link to the blog post where you have uploaded your layout
(not your general blog address).

Deadline for entering the sketch challenge is midnight, December 31 (US time).
Have fun!  We can't wait to see how you use our December sketch.

 Have a great night all!!

fabulous Christmas layout ... it's the middle of Winter in your part of the world at Christmas time - must be nice and warm at Grandma's with your wee man only in a nappy.

Oh, Erin! You're living the kind of Christmas I dream of having--walking in deep snow to pick out a tree! Unfortunately, we don't get a lot of snow here anymore; but how I love it when we do! I love sitting at night with nothing but the tree lights on. It is so peaceful! I've rambled on enough - lol. I love your layout. Always so pretty!

Perfect use of the sketch Erin!! Love the dominant White, with the touches of color here and there. It really makes them pop! Enjoy your tree!! I wish we could do a real tree, but I am allergic! UGH!! Stupid allergies!!
