More from the January Kit @ C'est Magnifique~!

Good morning! I'm realizing I have a lot to share with you in the upcoming days, so I wanted to sneak in the last of my projects using the gorgeous January Kit from C'est Magnifique~!! I introduced the kit to you yesterday, so scroll down to that post if you missed it. We're using papers this time from the Ruby Rock-It "Mother Nature" collection, which you can purchase extras if in the store right HERE- where you will also find the add-ons, some individual items, and of course the main kit itself :).

"Day One"

This is a picture of my oldest, Wyatt, on his first day of Preschool. He LOVES school and it is just so refreshing to see a child so eager to learn! So I wanted to pull out some of the "fun" colors in this kit, including the orange/peach color which adds just a little bit of "punch" to the blues :).
When starting out on this layout, I intended to use two of the same photo, as often I do. But when the two photos just weren't fitting my design, I went ahead and fussy cut one of them, layering it over the other just a bit. I love the energy this brings!

"Priceless"

When I was pregnant with my second child, my sister was pregnant with her first and was due just 4 weeks ahead of me. It truly was a precious and priceless time in my life to be able to share this experience with my best friend! We definitely helped each other along through our experiences and I wanted to create something special to remember this time in our lives.

"Brr!" [Canvas]

For whatever reason, my kids love to go outside when it is most cold out! Here it was about -1 degrees Fahrenheit and Gunner was happy as can be, exploring the new snow, despite the frigid temperature. I love how everything is white in the background here and truly represents what our winters are like here!
I focused on the blues in this kit to bring this canvas to life. The gesso applied randomly here and there is to lend to the "snowy" effect that I was going for.

C'est Magnifique January Kit Reveal~!

Hello dear friends~ how you've been missed~!! I took a blissful few days "off" from blogging/scrapping to enjoy the Christmas holiday with my family and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! My sister Kelly and family came up for a couple of days, as well as 5 cousins and an uncle, who all joined us at my brother's house for Christmas Eve. All my hard work at baking paid off and was enjoyed, as well as an amazing ham supper (despite my oven taking a dive). It definitely gives me a warm feeling being surrounded by so many people I love and there's nothing sweeter than watching excited children on Christmas morning- especially my oldest, Wyatt. He's 5 years old and at that awesome all-out Santa-believing age and it was such a joy to see him go outside in the morning to see that the reindeer had eaten the carrots he'd left out there for him. In fact, we'd had deer in the yard that night, so much to my delight (and his!) there were tracks by the porch, right where he'd left the carrots. And then he was back inside and up the stairs to see all the presents and make sure that Santa had taken care of the milk and cookies he'd placed there for him :).

Having my sister and her two girls here to share in the Christmas morning is something I will always cherish. She is my best friend and I love my nieces so much- and that they make the trip up here every year to be with us means the world to me :). It truly would not be the same without them here!

So I hope you all were able to enjoy some precious time with your families as well. And though saying good-bye to Christmas is never easy on me, I know that I've got to get back to reality and that is exactly why I am here today :). Because today is kit reveal day at C'est Magnifique and I'm happy to be able to share with you the beautiful January Kit, of which you've already had a little sneak peek! But before I show you the whole gorgeous kit, let's take a look at another one of my layouts created with it :):

"Eat Cake"

What little kid doesn't love cake? This photo of my Gunner and his crazy cake face is just too adorable! I love the blue/black combo available in the January kit. And all of the fussy cutting opportunities are awesome! I really had fun putting this layout together :).

C'est Magnifique: January Kit Sneak~!!

Hi there everyone. I'm certain that most of you are kicking it into high gear right about now, getting in those last minute preparations for the fast upcoming holiday~! I'm so excited for it to be here, but a little saddened as well because it'll be just as soon over :(. I love Christmas and everything that goes along with it, and with the days just flying by so fast I feel as if I haven't been able to enjoy it as much as I normally do- so I'm definitely going to focus on spending every moment with my kids and doing something "Christmasy", whether it be a project with them or baking some more goodies for the big day!

But before I can do that, I need to share with you a little sneak of the January Kit from C'est Magnifique! And this particular layout has a bit of a story behind it~!

"Timeless"
Okay, so I threw a little bit of a "scrappy tantrum" with this one. I was struggling with what I wanted to accomplish, then I screwed up, and then I just lost all control, lol! So I just made an angry, careless mess and after calming down a bit, came back and finished what turned out to be a feminine, sweet layout backed by a little bit of grunge due to my tumultuous creative process! In the end, I feel okay...but it was quite the adventure getting there! Isn't that how it works sometimes?!

Ruby Rock-it, an Australian manufacturer.

Our Flower Add-on includes a beautiful vine and flowers from Prima and Making Memories.

The Embellishment Add-on is a collection of embellishments from Pink Paislee, Prima, Ruby Rock-It, Kaisercraft and Scrap FX.
The paper collection, and both add-ons are available for purchase in our Store.
We also have a few items from the embellishment add-on available individually.

Thank-you for taking a minute out of your busy holidays to stop in here for a look :)~ I hope you have a great weekend (not sure if I'll be around or not!)~!! Take care :).

C'est Magnifique October Kit Reveal!!

**For my September giveaway, please go HERE**

Good afternoon!! I actually fit in a bit of personal scrappy time today~ but of course didn't get finished in time to be able to take a picture so I should be able to share that with you tomorrow :). So today I wanted to make sure I got on here and post the October kit reveal for C'est Magnifique!! I created five layouts with this kit (one of which you've already seen). Here are three more of them!:

"Wish"
I really love the range of colors this kit provides. As my oldest son gets older, I like to stick with more masculine shades for his layouts, and the blues in this kit are perfect for a page about him! There are also some great fussy cutting opportunities with these papers, which I've done here to create a border behind my photo.

From the Flower Add-On:
Manor House Creations: Sublime - Aqua
Wild Orchid: Beehive Blossoms - White
Prima: Bel Canto - Lavender

From the Embellishment Add-On:
Prima: Typo Zipper Pulls

From My Stash:
My Mind's Eye: Floral Stamp
Martha Stewart: Border Punch: Optic Dot
doily, book page, gesso, stamp ink

"Hope"
I went all girl with this one- with just a touch of grunge! For such a happy photo, I knew I had to do something fun. So I just let loose with some misting and masking, and added plenty of texture :).

Prima: Bel Canto - Lavender

From the Embellishment Add-On:
Prima: Typo Zipper Pulls
My Mind's Eye: The Sweetest Thing Lavender Brads

"Waiting"
My little Gunner loves to go berry picking with me. In this photo he is patiently awaiting the handful of raspberries I picked for him, and as soon as they're in his hands he's shouting "berries!!"~ way too sweet. So the fabulous berry stem from Scrap FX just seemed to suit this layout, with just a hint of flowers and pops of color against my neutral background.

Wild Orchid: Aster - Navy

C'est Magnifique & Scrapperiket!

**For my September giveaway, please go HERE**

Good afternoon! It's Monday here and so far...it's a pretty usual Monday. But I just got the kids down for a nap (it's always a SURPRISE how that one turns out, lol) and I wanted to make sure I got on here to share with you a sneak of the October kit from C'est Magnifique, as well as some challenge info!

This week, we're sponsoring the Norwegian challenge blog, Scrapperiket. If you haven't been there before, you should definitely check it out! The challenge is pretty easy: use two different fonts- that's it! You can combine with other challenges but you only have until the 29th of September to get your entry in. As long as you create a paper craft of some type, you're welcome to play along!

Here's my take on this challenge:

"One Year"
Tired of seeing pictures of my birthday girl? Too bad! Because I'm not, lol!! ;) These papers are just too pretty to not place my little girl amongst them :).

Here's the prize that C'est Magnifique is offering up for the winner of this challenge:

Remember the beautiful Inkido papers from Sweden? *sigh*...loved working with them. And now you have the chance to WIN them and some fab embellishments too!! So head on over to the Scrapperiket site HERE and get started!

Now, the C'est Magnifique October kit papers and add-ons have been revealed, but if you haven't been over to the blog yet to check them out, here's a look for you!

We are featuring paper from Ruby Rock-It, an Australian manufacturer.
These papers are so soft and dreamy..

We have pulled together some beautiful flowers that compliment this paper.
This month's flower add-on includes flowers from Manor House Creations, Prima, Green Tara,
Wild Orchid, and Maya Road.  What a great assortment!  This add-on has sold out,
but several of the flowers are available in the store.
And we also have an embellishment add-on with items from Want2Scrap, Prima, My Mind's Eye, American Crafts and KaiserCraft.  We have a few embellishment add-ons in the store, and some items are available individually, as well.

Be on the watch- just a couple more days until the full reveal!! This kit is GORGEOUS and you're just NOT going to want to miss out...
