Hey everyone, hope you're all having a good weekend :). I had the chance to get some scrapping done yesterday and so I wanted to quick pop on here and share with you my layout for the June Prima Build-A-Page. To be honest, I'm still not sure what to think of this one...it's just a bit dark for me and the colors are kinda different- but here we are anyways!
"Handsome"
I must say, my Gunner IS quite handsome- perhaps that's my problem with the page? No layout can compete with his striking good looks, lol!! ;)...
Here's the sketch for this month, designed by the talented Heidi Kelley:
And a closer look...
The "Handsome" title is from Scrap FX- seriously, they have just about any title you can think of! LOVE them!! I pulled in just some hints of green from the background of my photo by using just a few green-tinted flowers and this beautiful trim from Prima (which I actually won in a RAK from Heidi Kelley herself!!)...
All of the papers on this layout are from the Prima "Almanac" collection, which I adore, including these bits of rolled papers, which were distressed with a scissor edge.
This is my favorite part of this layout. I used my brick mask and a combination of texture paste and brown crackle paint. While it was still wet, I threw on a handful of seed beads and very lightly pressed them in before drying with my heat gun.
So glad you stopped in! I noticed that I'm VERY near 250 followers, which means Giveaway #5 will soon be revealed!! See keep an eye out!!
See you soon...

I have to agree, he is quite handsome indeed ;) The layout is just perfect, I love all the little details.
I love it so much, yes a bit different to what you usually make, yet stunning!
I would love to see you in working mode, there must be beads, paint, glitter everywhere! (not saying you are messy... :) lol...love the little beads scattered around, and yes Gunner is so handsome, I still say that Dr. Wilson must have looked like Gunner when he was a baby. :)
I looove your layout! I love the neutral colours and your rolled up papers look fabulous.
The rolled up papers look brilliant. And I'm with you, the brick background is fantastic, I love the effect and the texture that it adds to an amazing LO
ooohhh...I really LOVE the colours, Erin! along with the fantastic layers & textures. Gorgeous work! :)
I think it is stunning and I love how the black pops off the page because the other colours are so muted! :)
Amazing! Love all the texture on this!
Ooooh, yeah, LOVE what you've done with the bricks...is it the bits of black that distract??? There's some gorgeous flowers in there, too - that calico-ish one is yummy:):) As is Gunner!!!!! My oh my...almost 250!!! WTG:):):):)

This is really quite beautiful, Erin, it always seems that the ones you claim you don't like very much are my favorites!! I'm in love with the rolled paper with the bits of sparkle hidden in them, and the tiny beads you scattered, too! Gorgeous work!!
I'm with Kelly, this really is a beautiful layout and little Gunner is so very cute.
This is a beautiful page, Erin!! I love the black above and below the photo and the rolled paper is so awesome!! The soft, monochromatic colors on this one, really let your photo shine!
Awesome page.
Oh, this is amazing! So artistic! The rolled papers and "bricks" are my very faves, but this is really stunning all the way around! And, yes -- Gunner is certainly quite fetching! -- keep an eye on that one, girl! :)
Such a gorgeous page...love the layering & texture! :)
I'm all with the other ladies; the texture of the brickwork, the pearls and the rolled papers are my favest details in this gorgeous page of yours! He really is such a cute little boy your Gunner! xox

Wow! this layout looks amazing! I love the look of the brick features with the beads.. and all the layers, and I love the masculine feel to this even though it is really beautiful!! and your lovely eyes layout is so gorgeous too.. and kids know when they shouldn't do something, but they will test the boundaries anyways... but do they have to look so cute doing it haha!!
Beautiful as always Erin. Always love your work. Cheers Di xo
I love it! I think the neutral colors are still very striking, and they help your handsome photo stand out. Also love the extra little touches--the seed beads and the rolled papers.

Congrats on the OUAS DT! Fun to see a fellow Minnesotan. ;) I am from the Twin Cities, but jumped the border to WI. Just barely though. I am about 10 miles from the border of the two states. But, I do love to venture around the North Shore. It's my family's favorite area.
I am excited to see your beautiful creations on Nadia's blog. :)
it is incredibly beautiful LO, Erin! I just love all the texture on it! stunning!
