Hello everyone :). We've reached the end of the work week in my part of the world and I'm so excited to have my husband home at noon today and be here through Sunday. Lots of Easter goodies planned and a ham supper for the big day- cannot wait! So I thought I'd share with you my entry for the March Prima PPP before the holiday is completely upon us; I hope you enjoy it :).
"Delightful Friend"
This layout is a little bit different for me- in subject matter, that is. I'm sure you're used to seeing my work featuring the sweet smiling faces of my kids and nieces/nephews. I just have so many gorgeous pictures of my usual subjects that photos like this one get brushed aside. But for this project I decided to do something a little different- and focus on the "smaller" things in life- like this delightful little friend of mine :).
Here is the inspirational palette behind my design:
Green is my favorite color so I just couldn't resist this one! So many gorgeous options to choose from- and with a fresh stock of new Prima product, I was good to go!
I don't think I have words to describe how much I adore Ingvild Bolme's resins (anyone else wishing we'd had some new ones released this past CHA? Maybe summer CHA??)! I've lightly colored this piece with her new Pastel Green Chalk Edger pad before taking the clock hands from the Blue Fern Studios "Floral clock" piece and simply adding some microbead clusters and some Prima bling.
Flower clusters are such a joy for me to create. I love selecting the perfect blend of colors and placing them exactly where they belong.
This beautiful fellow came to visit a few times, staying for nearly 20 minutes at a time which allowed me the chance to take lots of photos of him and the kids the opportunity to watch him in awe!
The dictionary page is from an old English/French dictionary from the earlier part of the 20th century. Can't remember the date off the top of my head- but I remember feeling guilty the first time I tore into it. I LOVE anything old- but as long as I can use it to preserve memories and I can enjoy it in a different way- then I'm okay with it :).
I'm loving stamps at the moment. I used the "Delightful" stamp from the "Lyric" Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set to aid in my title work.
The beautiful chipboard piece peeking out from underneath it all is from the Blue Fern Studios "Double Dutch Flourish Set". Such a cool piece~!
As always, thanks for coming over today. I appreciate you all! And I hope you have a wonderful Easter holiday :)~!
Take care,

This is beautiful, Erin! Love the photo of the fox against the snow. Your flower clusters always look beautiful. I love everything Ingvild touches! I have some of her resins but am hoarding them. Don't ask me why--I keep thinking of keeping them for something special but who knows when I'll decide what that is. lol
