"So Beautiful" **Canvas** (Scrap FX)

**For my November giveaway, please go HERE**

Good evening, my sweet scrappy friends :)~! Another busy weekend here in my part of the world~ and there's no slowing down any time in the near future as the holidays are upon us and a new year is just around the corner- a busy time for most everyone. But amidst the hustle and bustle that comes with this time of year, I’ve been busy scrapping too- with Scrap FX’s newest releases~! We’re focusing on “boys and girls” this month, which is just perfect for me :) . I’ve got two little boys and one little girl, so deciding WHERE to start was my only obstacle- as there are just so many possibilities with this month’s release!

I decided to work out my creativity in a different way for my first project of the month by creating an 8″x10″ canvas for my daughter.  Choosing from one of the MANY new titles this month was rather easy. What wasn’t quite as easy for me was working in a smaller format (I always do 12″x12″) and my photo ended up being just a tad small, but trial and error is how we all learn! And I ended up with a heartfelt gift for my daughter to hang on her wall :)

"So Beautiful"

Let’s take a closer look at how I used Scrap FX to help put this canvas together…

I knew right away that I wanted to use this “So Beautiful” title. And I wanted it to be right front and center, on top of my clustering. I first painted it with gesso and then lightly dabbed the bottom half of my title with a pink shade of ink (although it’s a bit hard to see that here!), and then used glossy accents to give it a shine.

I’ve used a frame from the “Bow Frames” pack to adorn my photo. I’ve used white crackle paint which I applied liberally before drying with a heat gun. Then I used a stamp with some brown ink to create the design over top.

Isn’t this little guy the cutest?! He comes from the “Birdies” pack which has all kinds of alterable birds in it. Here I’ve just painted him with gesso and inked the edges with a sandy shade of ink. And for his eye I’ve just added a pearl :) .

Lots of textures!!
