Words of Wisdom & Manor House Creations~!

**For my October giveaway, please go HERE**

Hi there friends and fellow scrappers :). It's bedtime in my part of the world but considering I have a bit of silence for the moment I figured it would be best to get this post on here now rather than wait for the morning when I've got kids hanging on me, lol~!

I'm going to share with you today my final project for this month for Manor House Creations, featuring even more of their beautiful new Spring collection. For this project, I took a bit of a different direction than what I normally do. Although journaling is very important to me, I tend to keep it hidden as the length of which I write generally doesn't "fit" on my layouts. As you will see, that wasn't the case here...

"Anyway"

The inspiration for this layout is due entirely to the amazing poem "Anyway" by Mother Teresa. I was so moved by her words the first time I read them and I just knew I wanted to create something that I could turn to in times of doubt; something that just might give me the extra push I need...just when I need it. Sometimes- or, rather- MOST times, life isn't easy. Every day is filled with choices and challenges and decisions. And there are times when it seems that what we do isn't enough...isn't important...and then there are times when things DO go well and we're afraid to share them for fear that someone NOT having their day might resent you for it. I've been there. I think we all have. But when it comes down to it, it isn't between me and you, or you and the world...and being a firm believer in a higher power- in God- it's helpful to remember that it's between you and Him.

Seems so much simpler that way :).

Here's the poem as I know it isn't easy to read that tiny print:
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

MHC products used: Mayglo – pink, Iris – sherbet, Celeste – pink, Meadows – white, Springtime – lavender.

Thanks as always for stopping by here today. I hope that you too have something to which you can turn in time of needed strength. Have a beautiful day and take care of yourself :)~

Erin, I had never heard that poem from Mother Teresa before and it is amazing...made me tear up because I am often full of doubt about myself and my path and have been hurt and judged along the way. This makes me remember that as long as I am doing my best for me and my family it doesn't matter if others aren't always kind or happy with my choices, in the end it is between me and God!

You scrapped this so beautifully, what a lovely source of inspiration for you to draw from!! Thank you for introducing me to the poem.

Mother Teresa was a huge role-model while growing up because most of her charitable work was in the city of Calcutta, India. This poem is one of my faves and you put the message across so beautifully on your page :)

Nor I had read the poem before but it certainly does speak mountains. Some people just ARE what the poem says, they are very easily recognizeable by their inner beauty. Your page is sublime Erin, just look at all those stunning flowers! Cannot believe your term with MHC is over already, you have showcased their products to perfection! Have a beautiful end to the week sweetie! xoxo
