"Thanksgiving Face" (Scrap Friends November Sketch!)

**Two more days! Enter my November giveaway HERE**

Good afternoon! I'm back again today to share with you a layout I completed last night. It's my first non-design team project in a while, and I had a lot of fun with this one! And because I don't get the opportunity much lately to do "personal" scrapping, I had to do a little bit of scouring for a sketch/challenge that inspired me. And that is when I discovered Sketch Challenge #7 from Scrap Friends! I loved it instantly and knew it would perfectly suit some silly pictures of my daughter from this past week's Thanksgiving dinner.

A closer look...
So some of you might recall my "Dinosaur" layout about my daughter and the ugly faces she can sometimes make. This picture kinda reminds me of that dinosaur face, lol! Not the most attractive, especially with food on her face and drool sliding down her chin...
The chipboard Polaroid frame is from Scrap FX. Don't you just love the sweet little polka dots??
The paper/butterflies/word stickers are from the new KaiserCraft "Pickled Pear" collection. I actually ordered it not fully knowing how much I'd like it...and then I used it and discovered I love it!

Thanks as always for stopping by and for letting me share with you :).
Have a great day~

Webster's Pages Warehouse Box: Part II

**For my November giveaway, please go HERE**

Good morning and welcome back~! Today I'm going to show you another project put together using the amazing Warehouse Box from Webster's Pages- which is available yet for another 24 hours, so get one while you can!!

"Warehouse Box Tag Set"
I whipped together these three tags in no time! I especially love utilizing the 6x6 paper pads (you will receive THREE of them in your box!) for smaller projects like cards and tags.

For these tags in particular, I chose three different papers I wanted to use and cut them to the following sizes: 6 1/4" x 3 1/4", 6" x 3", and 5 3/4" x 2 3/4". Pinch the top two corners together on each rectangle, snip off a corner (to create even sides for the top of your tag), and repeat for each piece. Use a border punch for the bottoms before adhering each tag together, obviously placing the largest tag on bottom and ending with the smallest one on top.

What I love about tag sets is once you get the first one done, it sets the foundation for the entire set. So there are elements that are repeated with each one. Like the trims layered across the center as seen here- I've done the same to each tag, just using different trims.

I love playing with different color schemes! I usually find one thing that inspires me and from there I create an entire piece. With this one, it was the pretty fabric tag which I wanted to use as my sentiment.

I love to layer. I started this layered piece with the door, followed by a scalloped circle punched from one of the 6x6 papers and then cut in half before layering that behind the oval motif cut from one of the fabric ribbons (you will receive TWO fabric ribbon packs in your box!), and then finally topped with my fabric ticket sentiment.

This tag was inspired by some pretty "Hollywood Vogue" fabric ribbon which actually ended up getting covered for the most part! Isn't it sometimes annoying how that happens?! Ha! But nevertheless, that is where I began here :).

It's incredible how many collections were combined in this set! I've said it so many times before, but I just LOVE how Webster's Pages collections can go together so well! Even holiday themed collections like "Once Upon A Halloween" which is seen in this tag, combines beautifully with the more romantic and feminine collections. Amazing :).

If you're wanting to reserve one of these generous boxes for yourself, you can do so HERE! But remember, today is the last day so don't hesitate- go get one now!!

AND, before I go, I wanted to share something I found the other day on Pinterest:

I think we all struggle with our own creativity at times. I know I do! Sometimes you wonder if what you're doing is "good" enough. Or sometimes you feel like you're just not living up to your own potential or maybe you don't know if you can even "be" more than you are right now. I have my own times of doubt. But I think it's very important to remember to ALWAYS be yourself. There is nobody else like YOU- so just be you! Don't try to be somebody else. Be your own artist. And you just might love who you discover yourself to be.

Be an original!

Have a beautiful day :)~

Did you know that Webster's Pages is having a HUGE Warehouse sale going on right now?! Well, they are- and there's only 48 more hours to go before your chance at this amazing deal is gone~! And today, I'm here to share with you a layout I put together using exclusively some of the items contained in this box. So let's go!

"Dream, Love, Play"
Do you have those photos you just LOVE and cannot scrap them until you find that PERFECT place to put them? This is one of those photos. My sweet baby Gunner all bundled up outside. Such a beautiful child :). He's so fun and full of life and I wanted to write him a little message reminding him to always be this way.

Endless possibilities with the contents of this box. I've combined Webster's Pages "Botanical Christmas", "Everyday Poetry", and "Sunday Picnic" papers here, along with a variety of Fabric Flowers, StoryMarkers, Doilies, Bling Strips, Transparencies, Cardstock Stickers, Trims, Letter Stickers, and of course plenty of fussy cutting~!

Here's another look at the Warehouse Box and its contents:

All Boy w/Scrap FX~!!

**For my November giveaway, please go HERE**

Good evening! I'm finally sitting down after a long day of baking and cleaning- I put off the Thanksgiving dishes until tonight which was NOT a good idea, lol! Especially with my lack of running water...but it's done and I'm SO glad that I am! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday (for those of you who celebrate) and were safe while out doing your Black Friday shopping (once again, if you do so). I got ALL of my Christmas shopping done online today! What a relief! Took advantage of some great deals and feel I got a nice variety of goodies for my kids and their cousins, including matching fleece pajamas for 8 kids! I'm admittedly a fleece footie pajama fanatic~ you can never have too many of them :)~ and the Christmas patterned once are just way too adorable. Can't wait to take pictures of them all wearing them~!!

But on to the matter at hand :). I have a couple more Scrap FX projects to share with you tonight, both being "boy" themed. Earlier this month I showed you a "girly" project, so it was only fair that we focused on the boys this time...

"Son"
It’s not uncommon for me to combine “boy” and “girl” colors together on my masculine layouts! I just love color so much! And I love how the purples and blues look with the brown and cream shades, so I really tried to keep my chipboard pieces more masculine to balance out this scheme.

The “Son definition” piece was the inspiration for this layout. I thought it was just too adorable! I’ve first primed it with gesso before covering with a pale pink crackle paint. After drying with a heat gun I dabbed it randomly with a dark shade of brown ink and then finally topped the whole thing off with just a hint of sandy colored ink. As the base for my title I’ve used a tag from the “Tags, mixed cream” set. I’ve edged it with some brown ink before stamping around the perimeter.

Isn’t this “Tricycle” just cute?! I wanted it to look a little vintage, so I treated first with gesso, edged with dark brown ink, and then added a lighter brown shade over the top before blending the two colors together. I’ve also added just a hint of bling to the tires!

I’ve applied the same methods to the scooter boy from the “Scooter Kids” pack. I placed him racing away from my flower cluster, as any boy would do!! ;)

Next, I have a card to share!

"Boy" Card
A good friend of mine recently had a baby boy, so it was the perfect opportunity to create a sweet baby boy card to send her! The primary focus of this card is the adorably sweet “Train Set, mini” pieces. I left them raw as I loved how they looked “as is”, especially with this color scheme. And overtop I’ve simply placed my “Boy” title, using letters from the new “Playground Alphabet, small” letter set!

First Look @ the C'est Magnifique December Kit~!

**For my November giveaway, please go HERE**

Happy Monday~! First of all, I wanted to thank all my sweet friends out there who sent me birthday wishes yesterday :). It was a pretty average day- I don't generally do anything too extreme for my birthday, but that's okay! It was good :).

But today I'm back in business today with a couple cards I created using the December kit from C'est Magnifique, which features some beautiful wintery papers from Pion Design!

"Joy"
The beautiful "Silent Night" Collection from Pion Design features 12 different papers, all double-sided with both Christmas-geared and winter designs. Such a versatile range- whether you want to be scrapping holiday photos or everyday ones! As I continue throughout the month sharing my projects with you, I will show you many different looks you can accomplish with this kit.

To purchase this paper collection, it can be found in the C'est Magnifique store HERE.

"Holiday Cheer"
I went traditional Christmas with this one and wanted to create something simple and elegant. The Glitz "Joyeux Noel" Whatnots include tons of die cuts perfect for embellishing a card like this one. They were included in the Embellishment Add-On this month, which has already sold out. However, there are a few of these die cut collections available HERE in the store yet :).

Thank-you so very much for stopping by today to check out my cards :). If you are interested in joining C'est Magnifique Kit Club, please check out the "Join" page HERE for info on how to go about doing so!

Have a fabulous rest of your day and we'll see you back again tomorrow!

"Family" (Manor House Creations)

**For my November giveaway, please go HERE**

Good morning to you :). It's early here and I'm hoping to get this post completed before the little monsters get up ;)~!

Today I'm here to show you a layout that I created for Manor House Creations, featuring papers from The Scrap Cake. This time I've used the "Summer City" collection, though I did not do a "summer" page...

"Family"

This photo is of my nephew Bear (on the left, and yes that is his real name haha!) and my oldest Wyatt. These two are like fire and gasoline...for real. Oftentimes, that drives me absolutely nuts. It's like the two of them get together and this combustible reaction just happens and it's pure craziness, drama, and high performance action the entire time~! And this photo shows just one of the ways they are when they are paired up~!

I've combined a mixture of white, blue, and yellow as my color palette for this project. I felt it suited the beautiful Summer City paper and helped convey the energy in my photos.

As you can see, the Spring Collection is just bursting with color~!  I also love to add little things to add interest to my flower clusters, like the seam binding bows, tulle picks, etc...

I've used a combination of gesso, modeling paste, cardboard, paper, and mist to create the texture you see here.
