"P.J."~ Prima BAP February~!

**For my February Giveaway, please go HERE**

Hi! I hope your work has started off well :). My baby girl is sick and the boys I fear aren't far behind- but that is the way of it; when one gets sick, they all get sick. All a part of having kids! We're surviving- just glad I took my turn last week as it makes it easier to take care of them now :).

I got some scrapping done this past weekend- and more importantly, I got to play with my stash of *new* Prima- and I must say, I'm in LOVE! Today I will be sharing with you my February Prima BAP layout and before you know it, I will be back with my PPP. So let's get going!

"P.J."
I've combined a bit of Divine & Engraver here. I started with a base of mist in various shades and some random stamping with distress ink on top of that. Then came some layering of cardboard, a doily, book page, and- thanks to my new Sizzix Big Shot- some die cuts as well :). I have a feeling this new machine and myself are embarking upon a new and exciting relationship ;)~!

Here's the sketch:

And a closer look, if you please:
Creating my clusters are my most favorite thing to do on any project! Finding that harmony of color, various sizes of flowers, trims, and other embellishments is just so much fun :)~!

Isn't my niece Paisley just the cutest?? Kelly commented on how I don't often scrap her- and I really didn't have a good excuse, lol! She's adorable, obviously! So she gets the spotlight today ;).

 Products Used:

I opted for just seed beads on my flourishes, rather than microbeads. I've had many people ask me what I use to adhere my beads (and yes, I've been noticing lots of you suddenly making use of your microbeads!)~ I always use Glossy Accents. I usually use the Glossy Accents to "draw" the path I want my beads to take, if that makes sense :). And I never have a problem getting them to stay where I want them to.

That's all I have for you today! So glad you stopped by- I always appreciate your comments and that you take the time to leave one :). I know how busy life can get- so that you take a few moments to check in makes me happy to have you all as friends :).

Take care,

A Peek at the March Kit from C'est Magnifique~!

**For my February Giveaway, please go HERE**

Hi! Today I'm here to reveal to you the papers and add-ons for the gorgeous March Kit from C'est Magnifique Kits, and of course a layout too! So let's get started~!

"Hey Stud"
I don't know who taught my son how to pose, but it sure wasn't me! This photo was taken last summer of my little Gunner and he used to do this for me ALL the time. I'd just pull out the camera and there he was with a smile...waiting. :)
I really enjoyed putting this color combo together. It's so much fun to cut apart and piece apart various elements into something that just feels "mean to be". I used some Basic Grey packaging, a few of the closures from the envelopes to accent my punched circles, and plenty of fussy cutting to put this project together.

Prima: Charlotte: Tiffany

From the Embellishment Add-On:
Basic Grey: Serenade: Designer Chipboard Stickers
Blue Fern Studios: Chipboard: Garden Window

Guest Designer @ 13 Arts~!

**For my February Giveaway, please go HERE**

Hello :)! It's the weekend- and a longer one for my family as my husband got to have Friday off. So I've been busy crafting and have lots of things to share coming up in this next week! But today I'm very happy to share with you that I am a Guest Designer at 13 Arts and I have a couple of projects to show you :)~!

I was lucky to be able to play with both of Ayeeda's beautiful collections, "Frosted Life" & the brand new "All is Love". I mixed and matched the two here and had just a wonderful time playing!

Let's take a look:

"You Are Amazing, My Girl"
I love how these papers bring out my "artsy" side! I couldn't believe it- I actually distressed the edges of my paper :). Believe it or not, just a year ago I used to distress EVERYTHING- and generally had multiple layers in my distressed edges. But it's something I've gotten away from- not for any particular reason. I think I have two sides of myself constantly fighting one another: the one side that is a linear perfectionist in which everything must have its place and though my style is "full", it still wants a clean design; and then the other side of me that loves to throw a mess around and see what happens! But I think the two of these personalities came together here :).

The hearts you see here are from the "All is Love" sticker sheet. I just cut them out before sticking them on. And my title was cut from the "Love Letters" paper. I love their doily-like shape!

The banner was also cut from the "Love Letters" paper :).

Products Used:

All is Love "Follow Your Heart"
All is Love "Big Love"
All is Love "Love Letters"
All is Love Sticker Sheet
Frosted Life "Moon Dust"

Other Products Used:

Ornate Medallions

I've also created a tag:

"Sweet Love" Tag
You probably know by now how much I love tags :). Working with these collections made putting this tag together a breeze! So many beautiful patterns just begging to be played with :).

Products Used:

All is Love "Forever"
All is Love "Love Letters"
Frosted Life "Found in the Sky"

Thanks so much for coming on over to have a look. If you haven't yet, stop over at the 13 Arts blog! They're having a design team/guest design team call going on right now- so don't miss out!

Have a wonderful day :),

Some Webster's Pages "Modern Romance" for Valentine's Day!

**For my February Giveaway, please go HERE**

Happy Valentine's Day~!! Today in the spirit of the holiday of love, Webster's Pages is featuring two rather lovely collections: Modern Romance & Sweet Notes over on their blog. And I'm up today with some Modern Romance tags!

Let's take a look:

Modern Romance Tag Set
Tags are something I just love putting together :)~ and when working with Webster's Pages products, it's just SO darn easy!! I tend to pick a common structure for my tags, and this particular set was inspired by the "From Me to You" paper, included in the Modern Romance paper collection:

After selecting a few different cards, I based my color schemes off of each one individually.

The "Rose" Ruffled Bloomer trim was the perfect pick for this particular tag. The Ruffled Bloomer Pack coordinates perfectly with both the Modern Romance and New Beginnings collections. Because I was working on a small-scale project, I cut the trim in half.

The Quick Picks products (like the pretty polka dot bow here) are not only affordably priced, but they're often just the perfect little embellishment for pretty much any project!

One of the newest members of the Perfect Accents family is the Frame Accent like the violet frame you see here. These resin pieces are detailed and sturdy and offer great dimension to your projects! I thought it was a perfect place for my little birdie to rest :).

Products Used:

Modern Romance Collection Pack
Modern Romance Butter Rosette Trim
Modern Romance/New Beginnings Bloomer Pack
Quick Picks Mini Bows
New Beginnings Cream Eyelet Trim
Best Friends "Girlfriend" Cameo
Best Friends Storymarkers
Western Romance Trim Card {Western Eyelet trim & pink velvet trim}

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Creating with Blue Fern Studios~!

Good morning to you! I hope you're doing a little better than me- I've been suffering with the flu the past couple of days and it's been tough. Being a stay at home mom means you don't get to call in sick. SO- it's been interesting, to say the least ;).

BUT- that doesn't stop me from dropping in today to share with you a couple of projects created this month for Blue Fern Studios. Let's take a look!

"My Joy" {canvas}
Not often do I get a photo of all 3 of my kids at the same time- so I just knew I needed to get this one scrapped. And when I received the beautiful "Country Picket Fence" piece, I had the perfect prop for my little scene.

 I always like to get out a pile of materials to work with and this is where I began. Some masks, plenty of mediums, glitters and beads- it's time to create!

I started out by creating my background with a bit of masking with texture and color. I then adhered the Country Picket Fence piece and since I wanted to create a snowy, wintery scene, I used a whole bunch of texture paste to create the "snowbank" in which the fence would sit. Some beads and glitter were added as well.

 I propped up my kids on the fence before adding all the goodies!

For my title, I used one of the chipboard words from the "Valentine's Word Set". After priming first with gesso, I sprayed it with some glimmer mist and used my finger to dab at it while it was still wet to create the uneven color you see here.

Blue Fern Studios Chipboard Used:

Country Picket Fence {074561}

Valentine's Word Set {074646}

And I also have a card to share with you today:

"1"
 Some of you might know Kelly Foster- she's not only a member of the Blue Fern Studios team as well, but she's also my little sister :). In a couple of months here, her 2nd daughter Paisley will be turning a year old and I thought I might get ahead of the game and make her a 1st birthday card!

I used the "Natural Sprigs Set" to accent my flower clusters. Probably one of my favorite chipboard techniques is using my stamps to decorate them. After priming with gesso, use some ink and a favorite stamp to create a quick and easy coordinating embellishment for your project~!

Finally, I've used the adorable heart lock piece from the "Vintage Locks" set. I painted it white before covering with glossy accents and then adding microbeads and clear glitter.

Blue Fern Studios Chipboard Used:

Natural Sprigs Set {074639}

Vintage Locks {074783}

And that is all for me today! But I will be back here tomorrow, so don't stay away long okay? Take care and we'll see you again soon :)

P.S. I have been asked a few different times what I do with all of the canvases I create. Well, what I love most about stretched canvases is when you are done- they can readily be hung up! I have a space on the wall by my crafting desk where I hang all of my canvases- perhaps I will have to share a picture in the future :).
